The Opportunity

The appointee is expected to coordinate the education courses within the School’s Teacher Education programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointee will also be expected to supervise Masters and PhD dissertations; conduct research and consultancies; assist in organizing workshops and conferences, and provide leadership for the programme .
This position will be based at the Labasa Campus.
For consideration at the Assistant Lecturer level, the applicant(s) must have:
• A postgraduate degree (Masters/PhD) in Education or a relevant discipline; or
• In exceptional cases, to meet particular disciplinary requirements in line with international standards, a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional qualification with relevant industry or research experience;
• Other minimum qualifications stipulated according to particular disciplinary requirements, following international standards.
For consideration at the Lecturer level, the applicant(s) must have:
• A PhD in Education with relevant tertiary teaching and/or research experience; or
• In exceptional cases, a Master’s degree or professional qualification with relevant teaching experience or relevant industry/professional experience or a significant research profile;
• Other minimum qualifications stipulated according to particular disciplinary requirements, following international standards .

The position is available for a term of 5 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement, subject to successful performance outcomes.
Salary Range:
FJ $57,988 to FJ $69,586 per annum FJ $73,689 to FJ $96,958 per annum
